You may be aware that cPanel changes its prices every year. Price changes for cPanel licenses are standardized for all partners, distributors, and cPanel store customers. Because hosting providers like Namecheap are affected by these updates, we, in turn, have to update our cPanel account prices.
We realize that your business may be affected by the new pricing, so we make a special effort to minimize the impact the price increase will have on your hosting plan with us.
Here’s what Namecheap Hosting customers with cPanel accounts can expect.
Reseller Hosting
While Reseller Hosting plans are also impacted by the price increases, we make it possible for these customers to keep their current pricing.
Shared Hosting
In the past, Shared Hosting plans have been impacted by the cPanel price changes, but we have taken on these extra charges so our customers don’t need to pay extra.
However, it’s no longer possible for us to do this, so we plan to introduce price increases to Shared Hosting renewals in January 2025. We’ll let you know more about how your prices will change in the near future through email, and the information here will also be updated.
VPS
The cPanel price increases mean that all VPS customers will pay slightly extra for each of their cPanel accounts. These changes will come into effect on December 11, 2024.

Namecheap customers with VPS or Dedicated Hosting accounts can also choose an alternative control panel.

Please understand that we try to make the new cPanel price changes as easy as possible for all our customers. If your prices are going to change, you’ll get an email notification with all the relevant information for your hosting plan. We want to be transparent about what you will pay every month, and we aim to avoid any confusion.
Remember to update your calendars, as the price changes will take effect for VPS and Dedicated Hosting cPanel account customers in December 2024. Changes for Shared Hosting customers will follow in January 2025.
