It has been a good week for Samsung fans: The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra dropped to its lowest price, all the new Galaxy Tab S9s are $100 off, and many Samsung TVs are nearly 50% off. To add yet another to the mix, Amazon now has a sale on Samsung monitors, with prices discounted up to 45% off. Here are the best picks I’ve found across a few different categories.
Monitors for gaming
The Odyssey G9 gaming monitor had a refresh this January from the original Odyssey G9 gaming monitor, sporting a new stand, HDMI 2.1, a black design, and a cheaper starting price of $1,299.99 (the 2020 version launched at $1,479). The Odyssey G9 can handle any modern game with its 1ms response time, 240Hz refresh rate, Nvidia’s and AMD’s adaptive sync technologies, and a huge 49-inch diagonal screen with a sharp curvature of 1000R and a 178-degree viewing angle. Because of its curve, the monitor measures 11.5 inches front to back, so make sure you have enough space on your desk before you decide to buy it. The VA screen panel has a 5,120 by 1,440 resolution with a 32:9 aspect ratio, which is equivalent to two side-by-side 2,560 x 1,440 monitors. If you’re an Xbox Series X or PS5 gamer, be mindful that they output at 16:9, meaning you’ll have empty space on the sides of the screen.

Go all out: The 2023 Odyssey OLED G9 is also well priced at $1,099.99 (originally $1,599.99) if the LCD screen doesn’t cut it for you.

Budget option: The Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G65B is a much cheaper alternative for $441.53 (originally $799.99).
Productivity-focused monitors
A good productivity monitor, first and foremost, offers ample space to multitask. The Samsung ViewFinity S50GC does just that with 34 inches of Ultra-wide 3440 by 1440 resolution and an aspect ratio of 21:9. It also has 100Hz of refresh rate and a response rate of 5ms GtG, which makes it suitable for gaming when you need to take a break from work. The VA flat panel has 250 nits of brightness and can have up to two HDMI display ports. For $249.99 (originally $379.99), you’d be getting it for the lowest price yet, after looking at price-checking tools.
Smart monitors
The Samsung M80C Smart Monitor is perfect for digital minimalists who want their monitors to double as their TV. This hybrid monitor has a stylish LCD screen with 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution, a built-in removable webcam, and smart TV features with a controller for streaming movies and shows. It also has Alexa integration to enable voice controls. You won’t be doing any advanced gaming with a 60Hz refresh rate, but it has Samsung’s proprietary Tizen smart platform built-in, allowing viewers to use the Samsung TV Plus streaming, which includes over 350 live TV channels.

Budget option: If you like the concept of the M80C but are on a budget, you can get the 32-inch M50C Series for $249.99 (originally $299.99).
