Samsung’s obsession with fooling your friends with tech-infused “frames” shows no signs of stopping. Case in point, the Music Frame, Samsung’s latest integration into “The Frame” lineup. You’ve probably heard of The Frame TVs (which are $500 off right now), which feature an anti-glare QLED matte display and a customizable frame, the idea being that you can use high-quality art screensavers to mimic the look of art when you’re not actively watching something.

Samsung’s new Music Frame is a similar concept, except that it’s an actual, real-life picture frame (no screens here) with an integrated smart speaker. First revealed during this year’s CES conference, the Music Frame is set to launch on April 12—and if you preorder it through Best Buy, your purchase will include a $100 Best Buy gift card.

Since it’s an actual picture frame, you’ll be able to use any 8×8” personal photo or artwork. Like The Frame TV, you can also swap the bezels for any color to match your decor. The speaker is equipped with two woofers, two tweeters and two mid-range drivers, which offer Dolby Atmos sound. The woofers fire out the back, and the drivers face the front. The speaker also uses Samsung’s SpaceFit tech, which calibrates the audio to your space so the “wide radial sound range” performs at its best. If you have The Frame TV, the Music Frame can sync up with it using the company’s Q-Symphony tech, which creates a home theater setup. If you have two Music Frames, you can set up a stereo pair.

The Music Frame is also a smart speaker compatible with Alexa, Google, and Bixby (Samsung’s voice assistant). It can be used as a Bluetooth or wifi speaker and has Dolby Atmos, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Chromecast, and AirPlay. It also has Tap Sound, which allows compatible phones to touch their phones to the Music Frame to play media from its speaker.
