4 ways to automate Telegram

4 ways to automate Telegram

These days, more and more customers prefer to interact with businesses through messaging. If you’ve already invested in chat-based marketing and sales, you’re probably familiar with Telegram, a popular cloud-based, encrypted instant messaging service.

But don’t write it off as just another platform to keep up with. Telegram can actually be a great tool for fostering customer engagement without any extra manual work. When you pair it with Zapier, you can create entire automated workflows—called Zaps—that power your customer interactions, sales processes, and more.

New to Zapier? It’s workflow automation software that lets you focus on what matters. Combine user interfaces, data tables, and logic with 6,000+ apps to build and automate anything you can imagine. Sign up for free to use this app, and thousands more, with Zapier.

To get started with a Zap template—what we call our pre-made workflows—just click on the button. It only takes a few minutes to set up. You can read more about setting up Zaps here.

Automatically confirm new orders

When someone places an order online, letting them know you received it is a crucial part of the customer experience. With more and more people using their phones to make online purchases, it’s the perfect chance to meet the customer where they are and confirm their order via text.

Of course, you can’t manually send a text for every single order you receive—so automation is a great option. You can create a Zap that automatically sends a text to the customer whenever there’s a new order in your eCommerce app. That way, they get instant confirmation that their purchase was successful, as well as any relevant information like the order number or tracking info.

Stay up to date on new form submissions

If you’re on the go a lot, keeping on top of something as dynamic as form responses can be a challenge—especially if you use those forms to collect time-sensitive information like user feedback or appointment requests.

Instead of trying to pass every new submission on to your team manually, you can use a Zap to automatically send those responses via Telegram. This way, everyone can stay up to date on new form responses—and act accordingly.

If you want to work on form responses more collaboratively, you can also use a Zap to send polls in Telegram every time you receive new submissions. That way, you can quickly align with your team on the right response.

Get notifications for new spreadsheet data

If you’re in sales or marketing, you know that important information—like sign-ups, demo requests, and even unsubscribes—almost always ends up in a spreadsheet. But while spreadsheets are great for storing and analyzing a lot of data, it can be easy to miss new data that you need to act on.

Instead of constantly checking your spreadsheets for new rows, consider automating the entire process—including whatever customer-facing action you need to take. For example, you can create a Zap that automatically sends a message to a customer or your team with Telegram every time there’s a new row in your sheet.

Send new messages based on webhooks

Sometimes, you might need a little more flexibility with your automated workflows. Maybe your specific app isn’t supported by Zapier yet or doesn’t have the right triggers available. Don’t worry: With webhooks, you can still craft automated workflows with Zapier.

For example, you can create a Zap that triggers off of a new webhook from whatever source you want—and then sends a message in Telegram.

Do more than just text with Telegram

Telegram is so much more than just a secure texting app; it’s a great way to stay in touch with your customers and your team. And by automating your workflows, you can make managing that communication easier than you ever imagined.

This is just the start of what you can do with Telegram and Zapier. What will you automate first?
