For anyone shopping for a deal on an OLED TV, the Sony Bravia 8 65” OLED 4K Ultra is a decent bet at the moment: It’s currently on sale for $1,698 (down from $2,499.99). That’s its lowest ever on Amazon, according to online price trackers.

The Bravia 8 has plenty of connectivity options, including four HDMI ports (two supporting 4K at 120Hz, one with eARC), two USB ports, and additional options for audio, Ethernet, and antenna connections. Its smart features are powered by Google TV, and the built-in Google Assistant offers hands-free voice control via far-field microphones.

If you’re a movie buff, the Bravia 8 promises to upscale non-4K content for sharper image quality. That said, color performance is a bit of a mixed bag, according to PCMag’s review—SDR colors are decent, but whites, cyans, and magentas lean a bit cool, with yellows having a slight green tint. HDR colors fare much better, staying impressively accurate overall, with only minor deviations like cool whites and slightly warm magentas. While it handles perfect blacks beautifully, the review notes, it stumbles a bit with very dark but not quite black objects.

Gamers will probably appreciate the 4.6ms input lag in game mode (far below the 10ms threshold considered good for gaming TVs). However, it falls short of the ultra-responsive performance seen in models like the LG Evo G4 or Samsung S95D. If gaming is your top priority, you may want to consider other options.

Finally, the set comes with an adjustable stand that lets you customize your setup by positioning the legs near the edges, closer to the center, or to raise the screen to make room for a soundbar.
